What Abundance Actually Looks Like (And 10 Ways to Start Feeling It Today)
April 21, 2026
Listen to this episodeHow do I actually feel abundant right now when my bank account or my life does not look the way I want it to yet?
What This Episode Is About
Amy reframes abundance as a daily practice rather than a destination you arrive at once your bank account hits a number. She shares the season where she had more income than ever and still felt miserable, because she was running on survival in a nicer house, then walks through ten concrete shifts in how you think, speak, and receive that let you feel full before the world gives you a reason to. The thesis is that the difference between scarcity and abundance is identity, not circumstances.
That's not abundance. What that is, is survival in a nicer house.

- Why do I still feel scarcity even though I have hit my income goals?
- Because abundance is identity, not circumstances. Amy watched women hit every marker and still walk around anxious and hoarding their energy, because they trained themselves to scan for what is missing instead of receiving what is already here.
- What is the first thing I can do to feel more abundant today?
- Stop leading with what is missing. Most of us wake up scanning for the gap, and that habit of constantly inventorying what is lacking is the fastest way to feel broke no matter how much you have.
- Does feeling abundant mean pretending problems do not exist?
- No. Amy is clear this is not toxic positivity. You are still human and problems are real, the practice is refusing to let the deficit be your default setting.
- How does slowing down create abundance?
- Scarcity is rushed, it speeds you up and cuts corners. Abundance lingers and takes the long way, so giving yourself permission to not be in a hurry, even for twenty minutes a day, signals to your nervous system that there is enough.
- Why should I treat my current life like the life instead of the pre-success life?
- Because if you are always waiting to feel abundant later, you spend your whole life in a holding pattern chasing a carrot you never reach. Abundance happens when you use the nice dishes on a Tuesday and stop saving your best self for later.

Abundance is not something you arrive at. It's something that you practice every single day. And as you do, you will end up attracting the very life you have been hustling to get. The difference is not circumstances, it's identity.
Abundance starts when you start training your brain to actually notice what's here before you fixate on what's not. The real work is learning to be a woman who feels full before the world gives her a reason to. Abundance is not about adding more to your plate. It's about finally tasting what's already on your plate.
Welcome to the Unblocked Woman Podcast. I'm Amy Sanders. For years, I believed the next level of my life and business would come from a better strategy, working harder, figuring out that perfect plan. But eventually, I saw the real truth.
The biggest ceiling in our lives is not strategy, it's identity. The patterns we don't see, the subtle ways we play small, the version of ourselves that we keep de-faulting. to even when we know we're capable of more. This podcast is where we bring those patterns into the light.
We talk about identity, leadership, growth, and what it actually takes to become the woman who can truly hold the life and business she wants. No fluff, no performance, just honest conversation about stepping fully into your power. So go ahead and subscribe and follow the show. And remember, the moment you see the pattern, you can finally break it.
Hello, and welcome back. If you caught the last episode, we went deep in to the new wealth standard, this idea that success should feel as good on the inside as it looks on the outside. And I got so many messages from women saying, yes, that's exactly where I'm at. I have the results, but something feels off.
So today, I want to take this conversation a little bit further, because if the old model of success is not as good as it looks on the outside, then it's not as good as it looks on the inside. If the old model of success is not working, if checking boxes and hitting numbers isn't giving us what we thought it would, then the question is different. It becomes a question of what does. The answer, I think, is abundance.
And I'm not talking about abundance as in more stuff. I'm not talking about the vision board, the manifest of Porsche type version of abundance. I'm talking about a way of moving the world. And I'm not talking about the way of moving through your life, where you genuinely feel like you have enough.
You are enough. And that there's more, there's always more from where that came from. Not because you have a fat, like a super fat bank account. And every time you open it up, you feel really rich when you see those numbers.
But because something deeper tells you so. I remember a season a few years ago, where I had more coming in than I ever had. Business was growing. Things were going really great with me and Chris.
Income and all those things. Opportunities were showing up. Things were moving. And I honestly was miserable.
I was grateful on paper. And I was grateful for this life that we had created. But in my body, I felt tight. I felt guarded.
I felt like I was bracing for something that was going to go wrong. Because if I have all this, then for sure something is going to go wrong. And it was interesting because I had everything that I had. I had everything that I had.
I had everything that I had asked for. And I couldn't enjoy any of it because from this deep place that my body was operating from, I had this rooted belief that it could all disappear. And that I had to keep these crazy hours. I had to grind harder.
And that's not abundance. What that is, is survival in a nicer house. So the shift that I had to go through didn't come from earning more or leveling into a whole other level. It wasn't about achieving the next thing.
It came from changing how I related to what was already in front of me. And that is what I want to give to you today. So I'm going to walk you through 10 things that you can do starting right now to actually feel abundant in your every single day life. Not 10 things to earn more or achieve more.
I'm talking about 10 shifts and how you show up energetically. And how you think. Because abundance is not something you arrive at. It's something that you practice every single day.
And as you do, you will end up attracting the very life you have been hustling to get. But that happens when you do what I'm going to tell you these next 10 things. It's going to feel more peaceful and you're going to feel more fulfilled as you move into this place of abundance. So let's get into the conversation.
The real meat and potatoes of this podcast. Before I walk you through the 10, I want to say something that might ruffle a few feathers. Most of what we've been told about abundance is backwards. We've been told it's a destination.
It's a place that we arrive at. It's about hitting a certain revenue number or paying off the house, reaching a certain level in your career. And once you do that, you're going to feel abundant. And then once you feel abundant, you can relax.
You then can enjoy it. But I've watched women hit every single one of those markers and still walk around with a scarcity mindset, still anxious, still hoarding their energy, still saying I'll rest when, or I'll enjoy this when, or this season is just heavy because. But I've also watched women who are still in the middle of building, who don't have it all figured out yet, who carry themselves with this deep sense of fulfillment. They trust where they're going.
They're not waiting for permission to feel good about it. They're not chasing that destination. They're feeling it right now. The difference is not circumstances.
It's identity. It's how they've trained themselves to see, to receive, and how to respond to what's already around them. And these women feel more fulfilled. They're happier.
They are, and they're, they're killing it, but they're doing it in a way that feels better. So that's the lens for everything I'm about to share, that I want you to see it through that lens. This is not about doing more, checking more lists, creating an even bigger morning routine that's going to transform your business, your life, et cetera. What it is, it's really about being different in how you think, how you carry yourself, and how you let life in.
So here are the 10 ways. You can feel abundant right now, regardless of what your bank account says, regardless about how your life looks. You can start feeling abundant right now. So number one, stop leading with what's missing.
This is a big one, which is why I'm putting it first. Most of us wake up scanning for the gap. What didn't get done? What's behind in your schedule?
What we wish we were further along doing. And that mental habit, when you're always scanning for what, where the gap is, that mental habit that constantly inventories of what's lacking is the fastest way to feel broke, no matter how much you have. Abundance starts when you start training your brain to actually notice what's here before you fixate on what's not. I am not talking about toxic positivity and just being positive all the time or pretending that problems don't exist because we are human.
Of course they do. But what I'm talking about is refusing to let the deficit be your default setting. The second one is to slow down on purpose. And this can be a hard one.
I know that this has been a hard one for me, especially if you're a go-getter, you're ambitious. I know that you're a go-getter. Doing all the things. But scarcity is rushed.
Think about it. When you feel like there's not enough time, there's not enough money, not enough of you to go around, you speed up. You cut corners. You stop being present.
Abundance moves differently. It lingers. It takes the long way. It doesn't inhale lunch while over a keyboard, still typing, still doing all of the things that work.
If you want to feel abundant, start by giving yourself permission to not be in a hurry. Even for 20 minutes a day. Maybe go for a walk that's a little slower. Maybe eat without strolling.
Put your phone down. Sit with your coffee, or in my case, a protein shake, before the email start. Rushed energy repels the very thing that you're chasing. That's number two.
So number three is speak about your life like someone who loves it. Pay attention to how you talk about your own life. To friends, to your partner, even in your own head. I would actually say that most importantly is how you talk about your life in your own head.
Do you lead with complaints? Do you downplay what's going well? A lot of us do this without even realizing it. Almost like we're afraid to admit that if things are good, we're going to jinx it.
But your words set the temperature for your experience. Meaning that when you talk about your life, it's heavy. It's going to feel heavy. But when you talk about your life, it's full.
You start to notice just how full it actually is. And by the way, if you're listening to this podcast, then you have a lot of things that people in the world don't have. A way to listen to the podcast. Maybe you're watching it.
A way to watch the podcast. You do have a full life. You just need to pay attention to it. Number four is give something away.
Now this can feel counterintuitive, but it is one of the most powerful shifts you can make because scarcity holds onto things tightly. But abundance opens its hands and I'm not talking about money. Though that also counts. I'm talking about maybe give your time.
Give a genuine compliment to someone. Share a resource without being asked. Be helpful. Send a referral.
Leave a bigger tip with that server than usual. When you give freely, you send a signal to your own nervous system that says, I have more than enough. There's plenty to go around and that signal will quite literally rewire how you experience everything else. And besides that, it feels good.
It feels good to give someone a compliment. It feels good to give something to somebody. All of these things feel good, which also increases your energetic vibration, allowing you to attract even more. Number five, stop consuming content that makes you feel behind.
I know that this one is uncomfortable, but it really, really matters. If you're following people whose content consistently make you feel like you're not doing enough, you're not growing fast enough, you're not living big enough, that is not inspiration. That's a slow drip of inadequacy. Curate your inputs like your well-being depends on it.
When I say inputs, think about it. Like a computer. What do you download into your computer? You're doing the same thing in your brain.
So curate your inputs. Curate the things that are coming into your brain and into your body. Your well-being depends on it because it actually does. Abundance requires protecting your mental environment the same way that you protect your physical one.
And also you better be protected. Your physical one so you can live longer and happier. Number six. Number six is celebrate other women's wins like they're your own.
I want you to look at your life right now and see if you're doing this. Are you getting jealous? Are you withholding compliments? Are you not celebrating other women?
Or are you celebrating them? This one will tell you a lot about where you really stand with abundance. Because when another woman gets the thing, the client, the promotion, the recognition, what happens inside of you? If there's this pinch, this comparison, a flicker of why not me?
That is scarcity talking. And it's normal by the way. But abundance says her win is proof that it's available for me too. There is room for everyone at the top.
There is always room. When you practice celebrating other women without this caveat or competition, watch how quickly your own energy shifts. It feels good. And I would also say, I know that this podcast is geared towards women, but how often do you celebrate men?
How often do you celebrate your kids? How often do you just stay in the space of celebration? Because when you celebrate, again, you increase that energetic. Vibration, which allows you to attract even more abundance into your life.
So number seven is create a space that you actually want to be in. Your environment shapes your energy more than you think. And this doesn't mean you need to renovate your house or drop five figures on new furniture. It can be so much simpler.
It could be light a candle that you like the smell of. Clear the clutter off your desk so you feel more open and free. Maybe put fresh flowers on the table. I have fresh flowers most of the time.
Now, honestly, my husband gets me fresh flowers every single week, which I love. But if he didn't, I would still do it because I love having fresh flowers in my kitchen. It's simple, but it does help me feel more abundant. So it's something that we do.
Play music that makes you feel something. How often are you playing music that lifts you up? Make your space. Feel intentional.
When your surroundings feel abundant, even in the small, simple ways, your nervous system picks up on it and you start to relax. You start to receive. Now, recently I moved into my daughter's old bedroom for my office. And her old bedroom was something that wasn't living in it anymore.
And our house, things had changed to where I can move into her bedroom and make this my new office. But I redid everything in it. My office is full of pink, gray, and cream. Lots and lots of pink hair.
Even this mic that I'm talking to, you in, is pink. Now, the reason why is because this space, I wanted it to feel like me 100%. And I can't be, or I don't want to be super feminine throughout the rest of my house. But inside my little space, I can feel that I'm in the right place.
And I can feel that I'm in the right place. space of my office, I could be whatever I wanted to be. I could make it look however I wanted to look. And I wanted it to be ultra feminine.
And I wanted it to be one of my favorite colors, which is pink. And that's what I did. I feel so abundant. And I love walking into my office every single day.
That's just an example of what you can do in yours, where this used to just be a bedroom. I changed it. It feels good. Number eight, receive compliments without deflecting them.
This might sound small, but test yourself on it and see what happens. The next someone tells the next time someone tells you that you're doing great, or that your hair looks amazing, or they loved something that you created. Don't weigh it up. Don't wave it off.
Don't dismiss it. Don't say, Oh, that's nothing. Oh, that was just easy. Or I just did that really quickly.
Don't redirect it. Just say, thank you. And let it land. Women especially have been conditioned to shrink when something good comes their way.
Abundance asks you to stop doing that, to let the good things in without apologizing for them. Number nine, make decisions from trust, not fear. Scarcity based decisions sound like, what if this doesn't work out? What if I lose it all?
Should I play it safe? But abundance based decisions sound like, what do I actually want? What feels aligned to me right now? What would I do if I fully trusted myself?
I'm not saying throw caution to the wind. But what I am saying is check the voice that's making the call. If it's dressed up in fear, or logic, I could say that better. I'm going to say that better.
If it's fear, dressed up as logic, that's not wisdom. That's self protection on autopilot, and that will keep you small. But if you're coming from a place of groundedness, and self trust, and asking yourself if this is aligned. And what you actually want, that comes from a place of abundance, two different things.
All right. My last one, number 10 is one that I absolutely love and it's treat your current life like it's the life, not the in-between life, but the life, not the pre-success life. This one right now, the one that you are living, because if you're always waiting to feel abundant, if it's always in the future, waiting until the next income level, the next milestone, the next version of yourself, you're going to spend your whole life in a holding pattern, chasing that carrot that you keep running after that you never actually obtain. But abundance happens when you stop postponing your own enjoyment, when you allow yourself to enjoy things now, when you use the nice dishes, on a Tuesday, when you take the trip, even though the timing is not perfect, when you stop saving your best self for later and you start showing up for her today.
I shower and get ready every single day, even when I don't have clients, even when I have a space where I'm just creating content or I'm following on stuff in my business and I don't necessarily have to see someone, I get ready. Every single day, I get ready every single day because I am showing up as her, I'm showing up as my best self. And I know that if I am wearing clothes that I feel like feel good on my body, that feel like I have shown up for the day, I feel better. It's just a little thing.
Making your bed, super simple, right? But when I make my bed, I feel like I'm winning the day already because I got out of that thing and now looks nice. Every single time I walk past my room, I am going to feel like things are clean. Things are tidy.
And that's what I mean by showing up today as your best self. Stop saving it for later. You have that cute outfit that you want to wear and you're waiting for the most perfect time to wear it. What if it's today?
What if you can just like wear the cute outfit anyway, even if you're not going anywhere in particular, or maybe you create somewhere to go because you want to wear the cute outfit. Show up as her today. So here's what I want you to walk away with today. Abundance is not a number.
It's not a net worth or a lifestyle or a milestone you hit. And then all of a sudden, because you've hit it, you feel totally different. It's a practice. It's how you think.
It's how you move. It's how you receive. And it's available to you right now. Not someday, not after the next big thing happens, but right now.
And I want to be honest with you. Some of these things are going to be harder for you to practice than they sound. Slowing down when everything in your condition says speed up, that can feel contradicting. It can feel icky.
It can feel hard. Celebrating someone else's win when you're still waiting for your own, that can also feel hard. Receiving a compliment without squirming or pushing it away. That's also harder than any of us want to actually admit.
But that is the work. That's the real work. Not the hustle, not the strategy, not the climbing to the next thing, not the next launch. The real work is learning to be a woman who feels full before the world gives her a reason to.
She shows up in her power today. So in closing, I want you to pick one or two things from this list and actually try them for this week. Not all 10. You can come back.
You can re-listen to this. You can write these down. But I want you to just pick the ones that made you feel something inside while you were listening. The ones that maybe felt a little more uncomfortable.
Honestly, that discomfort usually means that's exactly what you need. So pick two. Abundance is not about adding more to your plate. It's about finally tasting what's already on your plate.
And with that, I'm going to see you next time. Bye. Thanks for listening to the Unblocked Woman. Listen, you don't rise by waiting.
You rise by leading. So if this episode sparked a shift, send it to a woman who needs to hear next. And if you're ready to go deeper, join the Unblocked Woman Collective or begin the Unblocked Method at amysanders. co.
And remember, see it, shift it, become magnetic. Your next level starts now.
