Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Amy Sanders. And today we are getting real. We're talking about money.

And if I said that word and you felt a little bit triggered or I want to turn this off, I'm going to tell you to just give me a few minutes. Okay, give me a few minutes because if that's you, then you absolutely need this. But regardless of where you are with your relationship with money, you are going to be able to pull out nuggets from what I teach you today here on the podcast. And I'm excited.

I'm excited to share it with you. And to be honest, it's been something that I have not really shared much with you on the podcast about because I think I've had my own blocks around it, like how, what I'm supposed to talk about on the podcast, how I'm supposed to be, etc. And I'm just deciding to let that all go because my message that I want to share with you can help people. And what brought this topic forward was I have this free PDF.

And I've had a lot of people download this and reach out to me and they've been grateful and they've loved it. And I've had people give me success stories of implementing the principles and how it's helped them.

And so I've really shifted a little bit thinking I need to talk a lot more about this because it is something that everybody can implement and everybody can do. Which would essentially help all of us and our bottom lines. So that's what we're going to do. So let's just dive in and talk about it.

As I talk about this, I'm going to talk about it in a way that is real, pretty vulnerable, actually. And I'm going to give you my money story, something that I really Cliff Notes version tell most of the time. And so hopefully, as you hear my story. You can relate and you can make a lot of the necessary changes you might need to make so that you can live the way you want to live.

That's ultimately my goal for you is that you can step into your power. You can live the way you want to live, attract what you want to attract and have that amazing life. And that's what I love to coach on. That's all the things.

So let's dive in. Essentially, if you have struggled to make money or keep money or spend money, you can you have what I call a money block. You actually probably have a lot of money blocks. And honestly, there's no judgment here as I talk about this, because I have struggled with this almost my entire life.

So when you have a money block, it's essentially like trapped energy in your body around money held in the subconscious mind. And it can hold you hostage and make you feel powerless when it comes to your money. When it comes to creating abundance. It'll keep you safe.

You stuck. So you'll feel like you're in this self sabotaging cycle, where you never feel like you can get ahead, or where you can push to new income levels, you're just maxed at this like, place and you're not getting ahead. So in this episode, that's essentially what we're going to talk about is five different ways that you can start attracting more into your life like right now, regardless of what your job is, even if you don't work, there's ways that you can start attracting abundance into your life. And that's what we're talking about.

So exciting. But first, I do want to share my money story. I came from two parents that came from really crazy backgrounds. And really, I might have to give an episode on just that alone, because it's pretty crazy how my parents were raised.

And I am extremely grateful for the fact that they decided to change their stars. And they ended up raising a family of seven kids in a decent neighborhood. We grew up in a really pretty neighborhood. They worked really hard for what they had.

And they really were determined to raise us differently. But one thing that they brought into our family was a scarcity mindset that in deeply impacted their relationship with money, which was learned from their upbringing for sure. And then I learned it by example. So money and lack of it was always discussed in my house.

They talked about how much something costs all the time, how expensive things are, why we can't have it. And I was like, I don't know. I don't know. And even today, even into retirement, my parents do still talk a lot about money.

And they are truly controlled by their beliefs around money. And this has played out in all of like throughout my entire family. And it's really like it was not a healthy environment to be raised with beliefs around money. It wasn't healthy.

And so what that meant for me was I was able to have a healthy environment. took on the belief that you had to work really hard to get money and that it was something that you could easily lose like at any point it could be gone I would binge spend like crazy and then I would feel guilty and I just created this endless cycle so even if I was making good money or if I wasn't or whatever it's like I couldn't keep it it's like it was burning a hole in my pocket and then I would spend it and then I would feel guilty and it was a continuous cycle this also when I met my ex-husband I am also a believer that I attracted a man him with similar money beliefs money blocks which then continued into our marriage and we were like we continued down this path of financial disaster and we would work hard and it didn't matter because we just continually got buried into more debt because of our belief patterns like we could never get ahead I was totally stuck in a self-sabotaging cycle and eventually as if you've tuned into this podcast that marriage did end in divorce money was a part of it not the only thing but that was a reason why things didn't work out with us and then I found myself as a broke single mom and as a broke single mom things were even worse I couldn't pay my rent even taking my kids to mcdonald's was just really unaffordable for me like to the dollar menu was something that I would save up so we could take them to the dollar menu at mcdonald's I felt like a total failure I was completely stressed out I had three children under the age of eight I had no money I had no husband I lost all of these relationships because of my divorce I truly had hit rock bottom I didn't recognize myself in the mirror and so I had to make changes I had to start asking myself a lot of questions like why am I here why do other people seem to make money so easily why do they seem to be able to keep it and they don't have all these emotions and I had to start asking myself a lot of questions like how can they have thousands of dollars in their bank account that just sits there I couldn't even imagine having thousands of dollars of money in my bank account like how does that even happen how can they keep it so I went to work as I went to work reading books I immersed myself in a lot of self-development I got coached I tried to learn as much as I could and then I started applying the principles and honestly like the principles as I stayed the path which is very important being consistent as I stayed the path my life started unfolding and I started becoming a magnet for everything I wanted that includes my home that includes the pool in my backyard that even includes the car that I drive it includes a lot of the relationships that I have now and in six years my life was completely different I was living in a multi-million dollar neighborhood I had multiple streams of income my kids were playing like extracurricular activities that I used to only dream about everything had shifted I was living in a multi-million dollar neighborhood and now I am really passionate about it so if you come into my coaching spaces you bet you we're going to talk about this kind of stuff if you're struggling to attract what you want in life we're going to do a deep dive and I like have grown such a passion for showing people how to do this and how to take back control of not just their money but their life and it all happens by starting to believe what can be possible for you which is the very first thing we're going to talk about today which is thought awareness so in order for you to make a change a lasting change you have to change how you think about about whatever in this case money so money mindset you have to change how you think about money if you think it's going to be hard to make it's going to be hard to make that's just it like you're putting that vibration out there that's what's going to be attracted back to you and there are so many terms out there that I heard growing up all the time but within my home which money doesn't grow on trees remember when I wouldn't want to eat my food I would hear someone is starving in China it's like and I used to think what does that have to do with my food and then but then I would eat the food I was like okay there isn't enough money to go around another one that's my favorite that I took on as a deep core belief was money making money is hard guess what it doesn't have to be hard these are just the beliefs that we decide to think which is what I thought from a really young age and your subconscious mind just adopts them as beliefs it's okay yeah that's true when you're young your subconscious brain is wide open and it gets programmed from all of the things in your environment and so as you get older you just adopt these and you live in this essentially like this paradigm it's what you think is normal but it doesn't have to be normal for you so when you start to uncover these and when you start to really question and becoming hyper aware of your actions what's going on in your life and what's going on in your life and what the feelings are that are coming up around money like when is it that you spend money why do you spend the money do you really want the things you know like when you truly dig deep and you start watching how you're reacting you'll start to get some answers and so some questions that you could ask yourself is are you watching your bank account like a stalker are you trying to control your partner's spending habits are you coming from a place of scarcity that you never have enough I get really curious as to how you are showing up because that's where everything starts this is what I call the thought model which we've talked about in previous episodes but I'll give you an example so circumstances just are circumstances are objects they're facts of a situation they're neutral they're verifiable but how we think about them our perspective on a circumstance is everything because that's where we act from when we think about them we think about something we have a feeling and that feeling from our thoughts are what create our actions or our inactions and when we do when we come from that place that's where our results come so an example would be if money is just a circumstance whether you have it or don't have it it's just a circumstance okay but if your thought around money is I'm bad with money you're feeling bad with money and you're not feeling bad with money and you're not feeling is going I'm just picking one it could be a feeling of an adequate adequacy where you don't feel adequate to handle money and your action then might be that you avoid paying the bills you don't really want to look at the bills you put the bills down you don't get the mail or you might also be overspending which also the result could end up being late fees overdraft fees deep-rooted beliefs a deeper rooted belief that you're bad with money and so what happens is you're not paying the bills you're not paying the bills you're not paying the bills and so what happens is we just start doing this unintentionally like we're not intentional with our thoughts we're not intentional with how we're spending and it shows up and these patterns that don't serve us and so if we can move into an intentional model which might be as easy as just thinking I'm responsible with money and showing up confidently paying your bills on time making smart investments that's going to result in increased wealth deeper rooted beliefs that you're responsible with money and they'll start working for you and so that is number one is just getting super hyper aware of everything that happens when it comes to money are you emotionally charged if yes you do have a money block that you need to take care of you might have several so number two is then releasing those money blocks through forgiveness and this is the most powerful step you can take and this is the step that truly changed the trajectory of my life especially with my relationship with money and ultimately what you do is you have to release every single money block that you have which honestly could take months to be totally honest it really could take months but this is how you do it you do it one thought at a time so what happens is if you think about your past and you think about where you've been wronged with money maybe someone took advantage of you financially maybe you stole something when you were a kid maybe it was your parents like how they talked to you about money and it created some money beliefs that aren't serving you today whatever it is there's going to be different thoughts that come up every single time a thought comes up you're going to need to forgive it take time to forgive it and i like to use the forgiveness mantra it's actually a method like a hawaiian method that really is just a beautiful mantra that truly helps you release and let go and it is i forgive you i'm sorry thank you and i love you that's literally it and so it might be that as the memory comes up you just let go and you're like i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm just say that out loud or you think it in your head as you feel forgiveness, as your heart opens and you have forgiveness towards the person, towards yourself, whatever it is. But you could even get a little more, a little more detailed. So maybe it was someone who wronged you and you could say something like this.

Now, as you do this, it's important to note that you forgive the block and allow your heart to open. Fill your heart open towards you and anyone else who is part of that memory. So important. And also, even if they've severely hurt you or wronged you, the reason why you do this is for yourself.

Because you are releasing the negative energy that's trapped in your body. And as you do that, you are going to become a magnet for even more. And so even though it might feel hard or I don't want to forgive that person, they did this really terrible thing to me. Let go of that and step into a higher vibration so that you can be in alignment with what you're wanting, which is to attract more into your life.

When I first did this exercise, I was flooded with money memories. Like I couldn't believe how many were coming up. As I journaled, more just kept coming and coming and coming. And I was forgiving one right after another.

And then I realized, you know what, this is going to have to become part of my morning routine. It's just, it's still going. And so I did make it part of my morning routine for a while until I felt I was in a good place. And I felt like things were working.

And even now, if I have something come up, I go and release it because the better we can get at letting these blocks be released, the better we can get at letting these blocks be released. The more and the quicker we will be attracted to the things that we want. And you get to feel lighter because you're energetically vibrating higher. You're releasing some negative trapped energy.

You're allowing your subconscious brain to let go of that, which is so incredibly powerful. So the third step or secret would be money management. I know some of you probably like snooze balls. But it's actually a great way to let go of yourself.

And it's so important to let go of of yourself. And it's so important to let go of yourself. And it's so important to let go of really important. So in order for money to start flowing to you, you need to respect it and be worthy of it.

Just like you care for your kids, you needed to care for your money. And I once heard someone say that the universe won't bless you with more if you aren't responsible with what you already have. And I truly believe this when it comes to not just money, but just everything in general. If you're not taking care of what you have, why would God give you more?

He will give you more as he sees that you can handle more, that you can hold more. And so one way to really take control of your money is to track what you're spending, but not from a place of scarcity. It's more of a place of awareness and abundance. Like where are you spending money that you don't need to?

Do you have multiple streams or not stream? Do you have multiple subscriptions that you're not using? Do you watch cable TV? Are you listening?

looking at your credit cards regularly and seeing any charges that shouldn't be there? Are you using your phone plan to whatever that phone plan is? Or can you scale back? Do you have a gym membership that you are paying for, but you're not using the gym?

Are you respecting yourself and your money when you go out to eat? Are you looking at all of the different ways where you might be overspending, or even underspending? Are you having value looking at value when it comes to your money? And truly, this is not a form of being stingy.

Like I don't want you to be penny pinching here. The idea is to become aware of ways that were you're maybe not being very responsible with your money so that you can hone those in and become more responsible. It's not about taking away things in your life that you enjoy. I want you to keep those things.

It's eliminating the things that are dragging you down from your ultimate goals by not being respectful of money. That is the idea. It's not adopting a scarcity mindset. It's actually the opposite.

It's a way to respect your money and be aligned with the universe so that you can be blessed with more of it. And along with that, the next thing that I am going to ask you to do is then start noticing all of the different ways that money flows into your life. So you're getting responsible, cutting out all the other things that are dragging you down from your ultimate goals. out the things you don't use.

Essentially, that's all you're doing. And the next step is you're looking at all of the different ways money comes into your life. And you're going to be surprised at how often this happens once you become aware. And the reason why I want you to become aware is because as you are aware of something, you tune in essentially to that channel of awareness, which then brings more of it into your life.

And so I'm going to ask you to look for different ways that money's coming in. Maybe it is your work, your employment, every two weeks you're getting paid. Okay, great. But also did you get a rebate?

Did you get a gift card from someone? Were you able to use some coupons? Did you get an unexpected check in the mail? Did someone pick up your tab at dinner?

Did someone buy you a coffee? Whatever it is, start looking at all these different ways that you're being blessed financially that you're probably unaware of. When you become aware of it, you're going to... Truly attract more of it into your life.

It's actually like a game. Like I like to look at it as a game. Ooh, what else is going to come? What else is going to show up?

And it gets to be fun. We've had large sums of money drop into our account that were unexpected as I've tuned into higher vibrations when it comes to this. It gets to be fun. So the goal is to just become aware ultimately.

And then to go even a step further is to keep a journal. Keep a journal of the blessings you are receiving in the form of income. Keep a journal around it. And anytime you get an influx of money, no matter where it comes from, be grateful for it.

And take a minute to express gratitude for it. When's the last time you expressed gratitude for your income that comes in the form of a job? The thing that hits your account, or the check that you get every couple weeks? Do you ever truly feel gratitude towards that?

Do you ever truly feel gratitude towards that money that comes in? When's the last time you did that? I recommend doing this for 30 days just to see how much comes in that you were unaware of, while also what you've been able to eliminate that you no longer need so that you can align yourself better energetically to attract more. So the fourth thing is gratitude.

We hit on it slightly in number three. But ultimately for the universe to start working for you and for you to like really trick your subconscious mind to energetically be in alignment with receiving more, you must come from a place of gratitude. This raises your vibration, it helps you align with the universe to attract even more abundance into your life. And so be grateful for literally every single thing that you have the money, the abundance, everything that you are already blessed with.

I'm recommending that you make a list of five to 10 things every single day that you are grateful for. Physically write them down on paper and with a pen. Build a gratitude running through your mind. And add it to your morning routine, add it to your nightly routine, do both, whatever feels good.

But just know that the more grateful you are for what you already have, the more you will attract into your life. And as you practice this, you will notice your energy shift. And it'll be, it'll help you be in a position to be exactly where you need to be to attract even more. Isn't this sound amazing?

It's amazing, right? And the best part is it's not even rocket science. So the best part is it's not even rocket science. So the best part is it's the very last thing, which is the last thing.

Meaning you can't just shift, you can't just like skip to this one. Okay? Like you got to be doing all of the other things. And then you add this one in.

And this is number five. Number five is once you've forgiven yourself, and you've taken the steps towards healing those money blocks, you can amp up your money attraction by adding in some mantras. Now mantras are amazing. They help in rewiring your brain and aligning your energy to attract more wealth abundance.

However, if you're just saying mantras over and over, that's not going to get you money. It would be great, right? We would love this, but it's not going to get you money. Your ego and your subconscious parts of your brain need to believe what you're saying.

So it might be that you come up with a bridge thought, or it might be that it takes a little time to create like a mantra that works for you. But as you do this, and as you continually repeat these mantras, you need to be able to get behind them, make sure that they are aligned with what you are thinking, but also with your actions. And so everything else leading up to number five, what things you can be doing, right? Those were actions you can take.

So as you line these up with your actions, you will be reprogramming your brain even quicker by saying the mantras frequently. And I recommend three to five times a day. And this might look like you say them in the morning, you say them in the evening, you might be reading them like next to your desk or something during the day. But they're always top of mind.

Because as you do that helps you reprogram faster. Always practice them from a place of abundance. And make sure that you keep them in the present tense. And the reason why is because your subconscious brain has no idea.

Like what is actually happening now versus what's already happened versus what's in the future. It doesn't know the difference. And so if you keep it in the present tense as if they're already happening right now, that is how you trick your subconscious. Brain to then essentially tune in to what it is that you're wanting.

And it'll go to work to bring it into your life. If you've ever watched the movie The Secret, it's super cheesy, so cheesy. However, it's super sound when it comes to the methods and the principles. And so I recommend watching The Secret.

I recommend reading The Secret. It's an amazing book. Also, Think and Grow Rich, an incredible book, all about just helping yourself, energetically align. So essentially, coming back to the mantras, you are tricking your subconscious into believing that it's already happening in your life, so that it will go to work to find it.

That is the final step of money attraction. So as you repeat the mantras, I want you to feel and imagine the money that you seek flowing to you. I want you to imagine how you feel when you receive it, what you're wearing, where you're at, are you at the beach? Are you at your house?

Are you with your family? Visualize every little detail, because the better you get at this, the sooner it'll help you attract it. So amazing, so fun. It totally gets to become your reality.

And trust and believe that this can happen for you. So those are the five things. To give you a couple examples of money mantras, there's a lot of different ones out there that you can research, or you can make up your own. But just to give you a few, some are money comes to me easily, frequently, and abundantly.

I am open. I am open and ready to receive money now. I am grateful for everything the universe has given me. I am abundant, wealthy, deserving, and worthy.

Money is energy, so money is good. I attract money everywhere I go. I am a money magnet. I provide good value, which shows in my constantly growing income.

So those are some money mantras. And these are the five secrets. And honestly, they have these things. I call them secrets.

Guess what? They're not secrets. Anyone can use them. And let me just run through them really quick so you just have them top of mind.

So the very first thing again is becoming thought aware. Truly becoming aware of how you're thinking about money and how you're feeling about money so that you can start to change that using the thought model. The number two is releasing money blocks through forgiveness using that forgiveness mantra. I forgive you.

I'm sorry. Thank you and I love you. Number three is money management, getting hyper aware of how you're spending money and where the money is coming from, all the different sources of income that are coming in and being grateful for those, which is number four, being grateful for them. But then also number four, practicing gratitude for everything we already have right now.

And then number five is just the money mantras, implementing those money mantras so that you can help all of these things come to you even faster. Those are the things. And they are incredible. Like I said, this is how I have manifested so many different things that I have in my life right now.

And it's truly an incredible way to just enhance your income, enhance your life, step into a higher vibration and attract everything that's coming into your life.
