What This Episode Is About

Amy shares the story and meaning behind Thrive Her, from the little girl who never felt safe to speak her voice and became a master people-pleaser, to the woman who reclaimed her power and now helps other women do the same. She walks through the full Thrive Her acronym (trailblazer, honest, resilient, impact, value, empowered, heart-centered, equality, real) as the values that define her world. Running underneath it is a call to be genuinely real and add real value in an age of AI and curated highlight reels.

Questions This Episode Answers

What is Thrive Her?
It is Amy's community and mission focused on showing women what is possible. It is built on committing to level up, doing the hard and uncomfortable things, and moving forward through faith and self-trust rather than fear.
What does the Thrive Her acronym stand for?
Trailblazer, honest, resilient, impact, value, empowered, then heart-centered, equality, and real. Together they describe how the women in Amy's world choose to show up at home and at work.
Why does Amy care so much about being real?
Because so much online is skewed and AI-polished that people feel less connected and more alone. She believes we need real interaction, real connection, and real heart, where who you are online matches who you are at home.
How did people-pleasing shape Amy's story?
As a girl she did not feel safe to speak her voice, so she learned to please others, which really meant self-betrayal. Reclaiming her voice and self-trust became the foundation of the work she does now.
Who is the Thrive Her Academy for?
Anyone ready to grow, whether you are an entrepreneur or not. There are different levels, starting affordably, where you connect with women who are trailblazing, honest, resilient, and real, and level up together.

No matter what walk of life you are living right now, there will always be challenges and there will always be our thirsty, but we are resilient, which means that we face these head on and we grow stronger because of them. Through all of these challenges, we grow into even more potent versions of ourselves. Welcome to the Thrive Her podcast. I'm your host, Amy Sanders.

I'm a fitness and wellness pro, mom, stepmom, second wife, and master certified life coach. I'm here to help you manage your mind so you can uncover the most potent version of yourself and create a thriving life you love. Hello, welcome back to the podcast. I'm your host, Amy Sanders, and I am so excited that you are here, that you are tuning in.

And I'm excited to be here with you. I'm excited to talk to you about what the Thrive Her Academy and mission statement is. So when I was thinking about what I wanted to bring to the podcast today, kept coming back to this thought, I keep talking about Thrive Her and how she thrives. We have a couple different products around the Thrive Her, just mission statement, but I've never really talked about what it is and what it means, who these women are that join my world.

And I thought it was maybe important to actually talk about it, especially since the podcast is also called the Thrive Her podcast. When, before I dive into it, I wanted to just talk a little bit about how I came to, how I came to just this place of wanting to really inspire her and continue to be an example of what's possible. And it truly started a long time ago. When I, as a little girl, didn't ever feel like I could truly speak my voice, and I always felt like I would get in trouble if I actually told my superiors, authorities, parents, whoever, how I was feeling and what I was thinking, it never seemed like it was really a safe place for me to speak about how I felt.

And that continued on throughout my life. Where, like, I would have a really hard time speaking up, but I knew that I had personality that was, like, a strong personality. I'm super bubbly. I have a lot of energy.

And so it always felt like I was in conflict about who I was, because here I'm, like, this bubbly person that likes to have all the fun, that likes to host, that likes to entertain, who likes to even have a podcast like this one. And yet? And I felt really far away from myself, because I didn't feel like I could truly speak up about what I wanted. And this created a really strong people-pleaser bone in my body, or really my entire body.

Super good at people-pleasing, which really meant that I was really good at self-betrayal. And so I'm telling you this because one thing that has been consistent in my life is I have always loved. To empower women through one aspect or another. And this looks like when I was young.

I'm laughing about it. This is a funny story. So when I was young and there was any kind of underdog or something that felt like it was wrong, I would step up and take the heat. And an example of this is not specifically for girls, but it gives you an idea, is when I was in.

Ninth grade, my friend, who was a guy, got in a fight with another guy who was new to the school. And the school literally expelled my friend, did not let him come to that school anymore. He was expelled, never welcomed back. I saw this as something that was completely just not right.

The person who was new to the school only had to go to detention. And yet my friend. Was like expelled, never to return to the school. So I decided that it was probably important to create a walkout with signs and everything.

And I organized this walkout and it turns out that like hundreds of kids actually followed me with this walkout. And I was standing for what was right. So I did speak up in that moment for the quote, quote, underdog, the person who I felt like was wronged. But.

It really ended up in like the most ridiculous thing. The cops come up to the school. We all get scared. We like run away up the street, hopping fences, all the things.

And then we like hide. And but that was pretty young. I was in ninth grade. And then as I pushed fast forward in my life, I loved showing.

I loved taking women through workouts and showing them that they could feel good in their own skin and that they could look good and that it was fun to push their bodies. And this ended up. Turning into like women's boot camp programs that I created and then also a threat, not a three per retreat. That's not the name, but I created a retreat that was called run like a girl.

And this was a retreat where I would bring women in. We'd have speakers. We'd have guests. We'd have just like a weekend of total empowerment.

Followed by a race at the end where they would pick between a five K and a half marathon and they would push themselves. And so really, when I look back on my life and different. Things. That I've created, I always love to show her how to shine.

And I always love to show women like how truly amazing that they are. And so I wanted to preface this podcast today with just giving you a little bit of background of like why. So as I continue to come more into myself, as I got out of that unhealthy marriage, and as I continue to reclaim my power, even though along the entire path, I've been on this path, the entire journey I've been on, I have had this desire to continue to inspire women through fitness, through health, through doing hard things, to showing them that they can run long distances, whatever it may be, that's always been something that I've continued to do. However, as my life went on and I went through more trauma and more things, I gained an even deeper desire to help her.

As I helped myself. And so when I changed some of the things within my business, that the podcast used to be called Married 2. 0, it's not anymore. It's now called the Thrive Her podcast.

And my products that I sell and some of my coaching programs that I have are now branded as Thrive Her. And I never really have explained why it's all called Thrive Her other than I want to be an example. I want to teach you how to thrive. I want to show you what.

I want to show you what you're capable of and help you get there. I love showing women that and helping them get their goals. It just completely fires me up. But there is a mission statement.

And also there are acronyms where these are the things that if you are in my world, this is what we do. And I was like, how have I not talked about this on the podcast? I need to. So we are going to get down and dirty.

We're going to get right into it. So with that little preface. Of everything I just talked about, Thrive Her is all about showing women what's possible. And we're doing this by committing ourselves to level up and we do the hard things.

We get uncomfortable and we stand by this Thrive Her acronym. I'm going to explain to you in a minute. And we move forward with faith, not through fear, but through faith to trust in ourselves and in each other as we rise up together. I love showing women how to break through glass ceilings, whatever you think is not possible.

I love to show you that it is. And it's absolutely impossible or absolutely possible when you move from belief in yourself and trust in yourself. And that's where I think a lot of women get hung up is that lack of belief and trust. And so we dig deep and we totally help heal some of those past beliefs.

And traumas so that you can move from self-trust and continue to be an impact for good to everyone that we serve. So that is the mission statement of Thrive Her, of what I am continually creating and attracting into my world. And the acronym I'm obsessed with. I absolutely love the acronym because it's everything that I stand for.

And the women that come into my world. It's also what. They. Stand for.

Because they're joining me. And if you were to write the word Thrive, like horizontally, and then Her horizontally, this is what this acronym stands for. So the T stands for Trailblazers. We are innovative and we go against the grain and we lead the way for other women.

I love this because if you are a true Trailblazer, yeah, it's hard to be a Trailblazer. We're doing things differently. However, because we're doing things differently, we're showing other people that it's okay and that they can too. So we are leading the way for other people to then also follow their dreams and their goals.

H is for Honest. In order to live in a place of complete trust, you have to be brutally honest. You have to be brutally honest with yourself and with others. And so the H stands for Honest.

The R stands for Honest, meaning that we move from honesty, self-trust, and integrity. We do things that feel good, completely in alignment with our body, mind, and soul, because we're being truly authentic to who we are. The R stands for Resilient. Of course, if you are an entrepreneur, which a lot of my listeners are, we have to learn how to be resilient because we face a lot of challenges in our business.

Now, if you are not an entrepreneur, I'm glad that you're here. You're still welcome here. But let's be honest. Women, we are going to face challenges and we are going to face adversity.

No matter what walk of life you are living right now, there will always be challenges and there will always be adversity. But we are resilient, which means that we face these head on and we grow stronger because of them. Through all of these challenges, we grow. Into even more potent versions of ourselves.

That's what the R stands for. I is for Impact, meaning that through our work, we are making lasting impact to every single person that we serve. We are moving from authenticity. We are doing the hard things so that we do make that impact and everyone else benefits because of what we're doing, which leads to V, actually.

So V is Value. And I'm really, there's a couple of these that I'm like, really just like, guys, so passionate about this. And that is one of them. So V means that we are committed to creating value through our work, whatever that work is for you.

And it's going to look different, right? It's going to look different depending on what you are building, what your goals are, where you are in your journey, but that you are committed to creating value through your work. And your content so that other people can learn and grow and other people can then become even better versions of their selves because they have taken value from you that you have added to the world. E, by the way, we are going to come more back.

We're going to dig in a little bit deeper to what I just said in one of the next acronyms coming up. So E is Empowered. And empowered is a really strong word. I do think it's overused right now.

To be empowered. But the reason why it's overused is because it's important. So for me and in the Thrive Her Academy, what empowered means to us is that we move from confidence. And if you've tuned into some of my other podcasts, I've talked about confidence, like confidence.

People are like, oh, wow, she's so confident. And people applaud confidence. However, if you are trying to. Like.

Move from a place of confidence, it does take courage and courage is a feeling that doesn't really feel good. So if we are empowered, it means that we are moving from confidence. We're having the courage to do. And we are self-led women who empower other people so that they can achieve their goals.

That is what empowered means in our world. So moving to the next word, HER. H stands for heart centered. And in our community, what this means is that we move from heart.

And our businesses and or our lives are aligned with our soul purpose. This is so incredibly important because if you are not heart centered, if you are building something and your heart isn't completely in. At some point, it's going to get really hard to build. And at some point, you're going to feel completely out of alignment, which doesn't feel good.

And at some point, you're going to feel completely out of alignment. And it will slow your process down of growth. But when you are completely aligned with your soul, you will feel like you are in flow. You will feel like things are coming to you easier than they used to when you were not in flow.

And amazing things will happen because you will be vibing at a much higher level, attracting more of what you want into your life and less of what you don't because you are moving from heart. So incredibly important. The. E is equality and equality.

To us is that we believe that everyone deserves equal opportunity. And when I say everyone, I mean, everyone, it doesn't matter what color you are. It doesn't matter how tall you are. It doesn't matter how what shape you are.

It doesn't matter if you are a guy, if you are a girl. It is all about equality. We believe that everyone deserves equal opportunity and that we get to decide for ourselves what we are worth. Our worth comes from it's infinite.

It is inside us. And we believe that we are worthy of it and that we get to decide what we charge. We get to decide how much money we make. We get to decide who we hang around.

We get to decide how we show up. And we do that from equality, that everyone is welcome. Everyone can decide for themselves what they want to create. And we stand by that.

R. Is for real, which is also connected to the V that I talked about earlier about value. So R is that we do real, meaning that we are authentic at home and at work. What is what you get?

And I am so incredibly passionate about the R and the V here because there is so much online that is skewed. There is so much online. That is. That is not real.

And now we have AI, which, you know what? AI is cool. It can do a lot of really cool things for your business. It can help you save time.

There's a lot of things that it can do. However, it can muddy the waters. And then there's all this like social garbage that online you can see someone and think, oh, they are so successful. Oh, like they're boasting about their numbers, whatever it may be.

And it's not actually real. None of it's actually real. Now I'm dying right now that you can take a picture of yourself that looks like trash. And you don't even have makeup on.

You don't even have your hair done, whatever. And you can just have AI turn it into a photo that's like this like beautiful, amazing photo. And maybe some of you tuning in are like, that's awesome. I love it.

I use it all the time. I don't like that. And I don't like that because I think we need to show who we are. And we need to be real in everything that we do.

We need to show up for people. We need to connect. We need to add value. Because that's what people and that's what humans need.

We need real interaction. We need real connection. We need real heart. And who at home is the same person you're going to see at work.

Meaning that who you claim to be online equals who you are at home. Meaning that you are kind online. And you are empowering people online. And you are show up online.

But when you're at home with your loved ones, you're treating them the same way. And you have patience. You're present. You're being completely authentic.

And you are happy about how you show up. Not just for yourself, but for everybody else that's in your world. The people who are watching you online. As well as the people who are in your home that are in your world who count on you.

And I think this is so incredibly important because we keep coming farther away from real. And we keep coming farther away from value. Like not actually creating real value. We're just like copy and pasting and then using AI and all this other garbage.

And I'm like, no. People need real. So that's what it is. So that is the Thrive Her mission statement and acronym.

I hope you like it. And because I'm talking about this, I want to invite you, if you haven't already, to check out the Thrive Her Academy. So I have an academy. Right now, there's three different levels.

And it is absolutely incredible. And what is this all about growing? And it's called the Academy for a good reason. Is no matter where you are in your life, doesn't matter if you come in at a really low entry level.

Gosh, it's so freaking cheap. It's like the cost of a dinner. But you can come in at that level and vibe with people who have these values. Who are trailblazers.

Who are honest. Who are resilient. Who are creating. And impact.

At home and at work. Wherever they are, they're creating an impact. They're adding value to the world. They're empowered.

They're heart-centered. They're full of equal rights. Bringing equality into their lives. And they are real.

That is who I attract into my world. That is the Thrive Her Academy. That is why the podcast is called what it's called. That is where we move from.

Is making sure that whatever I'm creating. Whatever I'm doing. That is part of my world. That everything that I do comes from these acronyms.

And comes from that mission statement. That we show women what's possible for them. That they are much stronger than they know. And we help expose those strengths.

And we stand by your side. And we help you every bit of the way. So that you are creating that thriving life that you have been dreaming about forever. But you're not.

You're not. Maybe you haven't gotten there yet. That business that you just know that you're meant to create this huge impact for other people. But it's still maybe a little bit shaky.

You don't know what you're doing wrong. That's what this academy is all about. And so we have an entry level that's just like a monthly payment that you pay every single month. It's like a six-month commitment initially.

Just so that you are committed to change. Because I think it takes a little more than one month. So you're committed to change. And then after that, it's whatever you want.

The next level. The next level is where I include a lot more of my other programs and things. And obviously, all the details are in the link when you click the link. But if you are resonating with what these acronyms are and where we are going, then I want to invite you to check it out.

Come join us. Come hang out with us. We have an awesome time coaching together and brainstorming and leveling up. And I would love for you to be part of it.

Otherwise, this podcast is a resource for you to continually grow. And as I create more podcasts and bring more guests on, just know that everything that we do comes from understanding that I'm helping you thrive in your life so that you can become that more potent version of yourself. And so that you can shine because we all have unique talents, abilities, skills. And I love to see you step into those.

That is what I have. For you today. I hope that you have enjoyed it. I hope that you resonate with where we are going with our community.

And I'd love to have you part of it. So come join us. And with that, I'm going to sign off. And I'm so glad you tuned in.

I hope you have a fabulous day. My day is going great. I have quiet house today. Sun is shining.

It's warm outside. So it's already pretty good. Anyway, take care. I will see you next time.
