What does it actually mean to be an unblocked woman, and why do I feel stuck even when things look good?
What This Episode Is About
Amy welcomes listeners to the rebranded Unblocked Woman podcast and shares the personal block that led to it, building a business that looked successful but did not feel right because she was holding back parts of herself out of fear of being judged. She explains that women don't feel stuck because they lack information, they feel stuck because they are trying to build their next-level self from an old version of themselves. Being unblocked is about letting go of old identities, survival patterns, and the habit of shrinking, so you can lead and be magnetic.
Women feel stuck because they are trying to build their next level self from an old version of themselves.

Meet the Mirror →Questions This Episode Answers
- What does it mean to be an unblocked woman?
- It means letting go of the old identities, survival patterns, and shrinking that have been quietly running your life. When a woman gets unblocked she does not hustle harder, she becomes more clear, more embodied, and more herself.
- Why do I feel stuck even though I'm successful and informed?
- Because feeling stuck is not about a lack of information, it is about trying to build your next-level self from an old version of yourself. When you do that you are out of alignment and things do not flow the way you want them to.
- What was Amy's own block?
- She was building a business that looked successful but felt heavy because she was holding back the clear, direct, powerful parts of herself out of fear of being judged. That fear traced back to being shushed and told to be quiet as a middle child, and it was strongest in her business at 45.
- Is being unblocked about fixing yourself?
- No, it is not about fixing yourself, it is about awareness, alignment, and abundance, and about letting go of fear with love so you have room for more. You were born worthy and capable, and the work is releasing what is blocking that.
- What is the Unblocked Woman Collective?
- It is a private community for women who are ready to rise, expand, and become the unblocked version of themselves together. It is the deeper container for the work Amy teaches on the podcast.

When I realized that I had a big block, it wasn't during some massive breakdown or crazy life change. It actually happened while I was building a business that looked successful, but it didn't feel right. I was doing all of the things. I was posting, I was creating, I was serving, I was growing.
But I just felt like there needs to be a shift and I couldn't put my finger on it. But I knew underneath everything that was going on, something was off. I wasn't being fully me. I wasn't fully expressing myself in my personal life or in my professional life.
This podcast, it wasn't lighting me up anymore. It felt heavy. It felt constrained. It felt like another thing to do.
You're listening to The Unblocked Woman, the podcast for high-achieving women who feel stuck but know they're meant for more. I'm Amy Sanders, coach, author, speaker, and creator of The Unblocked Method. This show is your permission slip and power portal. Each episode helps you...
You see what's holding you back, shift it at the root, and rise into that self-led magnetic woman that your next level requires. You're not stuck, you're blocked, and that's fixable. Let's get you unblocked. Hello, hello, hello, hello.
I'm so excited to be here and to talk about what this podcast is. Oh my gosh, so many things. But first and foremost, let's talk about what is happening. Why does this look so different for those of you guys who've been tuning in for a long time?
First of all, you may have noticed that my podcast went away for a little while there. It was, I think my last episode that I launched was back in May. And there are reasons for all of it, and that's what we are going to be talking about today. So, truth is, this has been coming for a really long time.
And I have felt it in my body for a long time. I have felt it in my... Work? I have felt it with the conversations that I have with women who are doing everything right, but they still feel off, they still feel stuck.
So today's episode is not just a new episode, it's a shift. I want to officially welcome you to the Unblocked Woman Podcast. I'm Amy Sanders. And again, if you've been here for a while, you might notice that everything looks and sounds different.
And that's intentional. If you haven't been here, I want to welcome you. And I'm hoping that as you tune into today and podcasts that will come, that you feel at home here. That you feel like what we share here on the podcast totally touches your heart in a way and touches your soul in a way that helps you step into that higher version of yourself that you know is in there.
And we're going to talk about all of the things today. Okay. About the whole change, why I rebranded, why the podcast was gone for a little bit, why it's back, all of the things. So let's dive in.
So the truth is the Thrive Her podcast era, it mattered. It was all about growth. It was about momentum. It was about expansion.
But as I was continually growing myself and growing my business and having different experiences in my life, I started to realize that in myself and also in my clients, growth... Growth was not the problem. We were definitely growing and changing, evolving and all the things. But I started to realize as I was coaching and just everything that was going on, as we'll dive deeper in a second, women don't feel stuck because they don't know what to do.
There are plenty of self-help books. There's plenty of information out there, social media, all of the things that will tell you what to do. Women feel stuck. Because they are trying to build their next level self from an old version of themselves.
And when you do that, you are not aligned. Things don't really flow the way that you want them to. So when it comes to Thrive and the Thrive Her podcast, it was all about adding more and learning and growing and momentum and all of the things that were going on, which were good. This new, updated, relaunch of the podcast.
This new, updated, relaunch of the podcast called The Unblocked Woman. Unblocked is all about letting go. Let me explain myself. Letting go of old identities that are keeping you from reaching your full potential.
You know that you can, but you're like, what is happening? It's all about letting go of survival patterns that you've held on to because of the false beliefs that they were keeping you safe. When really, they are keeping you small. It's all about shrinking.
It's all about letting go. It's all about letting go of shrinking your personality to fit into rooms that you've probably outgrown. You fill that gap. You fill that change and shift.
It's all about letting go of proving to yourself and to others that you are capable and that you are worthy. Guess what? You are worthy and capable. You were born with that birthright.
But somehow along the way, we get lost, right? It's also all about letting go of playing nice. When you're meant to lead and when you're meant to make an impact. So when it comes to this podcast, it truly needed to match the depth of the work that I'm actually doing right now with my clients and with my community.
And when I look at all of my clients that I have served over the last number of years, the thing that I have truly come to learn as I pat myself on the back is that my genius truly is helping you get unblocked. I have. And I help you see the weeds faster than you can. And I help guide you in the direction that will help you expand into the version that you are here and meant to become.
That is what I am good at when it comes to your business, when it comes to your personal life. All the things I have now been coaching for a pretty long time. And that is what I felt like this shift in this gap was, is that we were not leaning into my genius. And when it comes to me playing.
as big as I want to play, I need to step into my genius and help you step into your genius. So when it comes to all these different clients and stuff, the deep work that I have been helping them do really ends up being the same. And this business and my mission need to reflect that. And the Thrive Her podcast really just didn't do that.
And so we needed to make a shift. I want to honor what that era was. It served me well and it served people that tuned in well. And I also want to say that I am deeply grateful for the Thrive Her season.
It was a great season. And I also am grateful for the women who found me there. So if you found me there and you're tuning in, and that's where you found me, then I am so grateful for you and that you did find me. I am grateful for what it helped create for the people that it served.
But I outgrew it. Just like you. I outgrew it. So this is not me burning something down.
This is me outgrowing what I had built and having a really deep desire to serve those who tune in at an even deeper level. So what is staying the same? My voice, my honesty, my Enneagram 8 honesty, and my belief in you that you are not broken and you're actually not even stuck. So the biggest change is going to be the level of depth that we go into when it comes to this podcast.
And as we unfold this, I want to talk about one of my unblocked moments, what I have seen. Okay, I said unblocked moments. I meant blocked moments. A blocked moment that also led to this.
So everything we talk about is really what has led to this change. So when I realized that I had a big block, it wasn't during some massive break. It wasn't during some massive break. It wasn't during some massive breakdown or crazy life change.
It actually happened while I was building a business that looked successful, but it didn't feel right. I was doing all of the things. I was posting, I was creating, I was serving, I was growing. But, and guys, when I'm talking about this, this was like this last year.
By the way, this wasn't like five years ago, 10 years ago. This was this last year. I just felt like there needs to be a shift and I couldn't put my finger on it. But I knew underneath everything that was going on, I was going to be able to do it.
And I something was off. I wasn't being fully me. I wasn't fully expressing myself like in my personal life or in my professional life. This podcast, it wasn't lighting me up anymore.
It felt heavy. It felt constrained. It felt like another thing to do. And even the offers that I had at the time, I wasn't really excited about those either, but I loved coaching women still.
It was like, okay, coaching is still my jam. Like showing women what they're capable of. All of that was there. But what I noticed was that everything that I was building, I was actually building or choosing from fear.
And I was holding back parts of myself that were clear, direct, powerful, the parts of myself that my clients see behind the scenes that are creating amazing results for them. But I was scared to show those parts of me publicly. I was holding back. I was holding back on the podcast.
I was on Instagram, on other social media channels. And I also had really struggled with going live on social media. And I had built multiple things at this point. I was like, why is this something that I'm still so scared of?
And I had to do some deep work around this. And what came up was that I was scared of being judged. I had grown up in a family as middle child, five of seven. Parents didn't really create a safe place for me to speak my own voice or talk about my struggles with them.
I say this with love. I say this with grace. Like they did the best they could with raising seven children with their own backgrounds that they hadn't healed from. But I was shushed and told to be quiet pretty much my whole life.
I was told to behave. And with how things were at home, it was very different from what my personality actually is. My personality is really bright. Uh, loud, all of the things that I was told that weren't okay.
So anyway, with my business, even this last year at 45 years old, these blocks from childhood were even stronger than I feel like they had ever been. And they were showing up in my adult life, both in my business and also in my personal life, because I was letting my fears win. And that's actually what being blocked feels like. And you might realize that a lot of times when you're in a situation where you're not able to relate to this as you tune in, it's not about failure.
It's not about being weak. It's a mix match between who you are and who you are operating as. And once I decided to just like let that all go and started just really, that's what it was, was letting it go, letting myself become a block. Everything shifted, which is why my old podcast and my offers weren't aligned with who I had become.
So as you know, or as you will learn, I always say that I want to be an example of what's possible for women, for my clients, for all those people who I serve. I will never tell you to do something that I am not already doing or haven't done. So in order for my work and my mission to carry onward, this new expansion needed to happen and it needed to be expressed and it needed to be expressed on the podcast. So let's talk about what we're going to do next.
And I'm going to talk about what we're going to do next. And I'm going to unblocked really means. Unblocked is not about fixing yourself. It's about awareness.
It's about understanding that you can operate in control. And you can also operate out of control. When you learn to operate in control, you will feel so much better. It's also about alignment, listening to your inner truth, and leaning into what feels good, what feels like it's actually you.
It's also all about abundance. Choosing abundance instead of truth. Choosing fear. Abundance doesn't have room for fear.
So when you learn to let go of fear and give it love as you let it go, like fear is trying to keep you safe. It's trying to do its job, right? But sometimes it just is not helping you anymore. So when you let go of fear, you're able to have more abundance.
And by the way, abundance just isn't about money in the bank. There's so much more about abundance that we are going to be sharing on this podcast. So when a woman gets unblocked, she doesn't have to hustle harder. She is more clear.
She is more embodied. And she's more herself. She doesn't have to dim her light. She's like more openly loving.
She's connected. And that part of her that is really alive, that is her magnetic self. That is who you truly are meant to be. And when you become magnetic, it's because you're tapping into your higher power, that part of you that's already inside of you.
But now you're able to trust it and listen to it. And that's what I'm talking about. So life gets to feel easier. Life gets to feel more joyful.
Life gets to feel better because you are tapping into that magnetic version of yourself, your higher power that lives within you always. So that is why this podcast is existing and why it needed to change. So let's talk about what's changing and let's talk about what's staying. So what's changing?
The name. No longer the Thrive Her podcast. It is now the Unblocked Woman. It is going to be more depth, bigger conversations, deeper conversations.
There are going to be more conversations. The conversations with the guests that I am putting on this podcast now, they are incredible people who are trailblazing. Most of them will be women. And they are women who are creating waves in the world and truly being an example of what's possible so that they can help uplift you to become that version of yourself that is in there that you still just haven't tapped into.
There are also going to be more solo episodes. More of me. Because let's be honest, I have a lot to share. I'm not going to share the stage as much as I did on the Thrive Her podcast.
And when I do share the stage, it's going to be women who truly can show you how to shift. What I noticed when it came to my voice in the Thrive Her podcast was I truly was giving away a lot of my power by giving the stage to a lot of people who weren't really aligned with my vision and who didn't even match what the Thrive Her podcast was about. So I'm going to share the stage. I'm going to share the stage.
So this one is going to be any guests that I have on the podcast. You're going to be very aligned with our mission and with our method to make sure that you are always being supported and guided and helped the best way that we possibly can. There is going to be more identity work so that you can do that work that will truly change you. And I am going to talk about more of behind the scenes stuff.
More talk about my life, about my businesses, about my investments, my successes, my failures. All of the things that I have actually manifested and things that I have felt at. But when it comes to manifesting the things that manifested because of tapping into my power, which I want for all of you, everyone that's tuning in manifesting is so freaking amazing when you learn how to do it in a way that totally serves you, which we're going to talk a lot about. So what's staying is the speed.
Like I said, my voice and this mission, it's still me. It's just going to be expanded. So what to expect moving forward? On this show, we are going to be talking about identity.
We are going to be talking about alignment. We are going to be talking about your feminine power. We'll also hit on masculine energy, but I want you to tap into what that feminine divine power is and learn how to live there longer. We're in a society and a culture, I'm from the U.
S. and in the U. S. it's very much this way, where we are taught, especially women who are, working, creating businesses and things to live in our masculine, which is not our divine power.
So I will be teaching you more about like your feminine power. So exciting. We'll be talking about leadership without burning out. And we'll also be talking about business success without betraying yourself or your family.
If you're someone who does not have a business, that is okay because you will still be able to have takeaways that help you and serve you in your life. This is not going to be service level motivation. There's no fluff here. Not going to fluff with you.
It is all about real transformation. So listen, if something landed for you in this episode, that's not random because your shift, it starts here. It starts now. So I want to make sure that you're subscribed so you don't miss any of the episodes that are coming.
And I promise you they are juicy. They are exciting. And I don't want you to miss a thing. So make sure you're subscribed.
Also share, this episode with a woman who is ready to move, ready for more, because as you share, you help expand this mission and help more women. So I need you. Basically, I need you. And if you want to rise with us, make sure that you join the Unblocked Woman Collective.
It is a private community that is all about helping you expand, grow, and become that unblocked version of yourself. It is so incredible. And I would love to have you part of it with us. So the community, the Unblocked Woman Collective is a special container that's here for the women who are ready to rise.
So we are not just thriving anymore, ladies. We are becoming unblocked and we are doing it together. And I am so excited to share all with you for everything that's to come. It is going to be amazing, juicy, and magnetic.
And I am so happy that you're here. So with that, take care. And I will be back with another Duke C episode. The Unblocked Woman.
Listen, you don't rise by waiting. You rise by leading. So if this episode sparked a shift, send it to a woman who needs to hear it next. And if you're ready to go deeper, join the Unblocked Woman Collective or begin the Unblocked Method at amysanders.
co. And remember, see it, shift it, become magnetic. Your next level starts now.
