Questions This Episode Answers

What is the AAA attractor manifestation journal?
It is a journal where you physically write your desires in the present tense, as if they are already happening. AAA stands for awareness, alignment, and abundance, and Amy writes nine to ten items plus a page describing her dream-life day every morning.
Why does Amy plan her meals and workouts ahead of time?
You only have so many decisions in a day, and the more you have to make the less brain space you have. Planning meals and workouts at the start of the week removes those decisions so she can just wake up and dive in.
What is in Amy's morning practice?
She makes her bed, writes in her appreciation and manifestation journals, works out, meditates, and reads ten pages of an inspirational book plus something spiritual. It takes one to two hours and sets up her whole day.
How does saying no fit into a habit list?
Learning to say no to things that do not serve you gives you more space for what you do want. Amy frames it as respect for yourself and your time, not as being unkind.
Do you have to adopt all of these habits?
No. Amy says you can pick up a piece, the whole thing, or none of it. These are the habits that have helped her, and you choose the ones that resonate with you.

With looking at your goals, I also want to say that make sure you're looking at them from a place of abundance, not lack, and that you're not frustrating yourself if they're not happening faster. Just trust that everything's working out and that everything's going to end up beautifully in the end. Welcome to the Thrive Her podcast. I'm your host, Amy Sanders.

I'm a fitness and wellness pro, mom, stepmom, second wife, and master certified life coach. I'm here to help you manage your mind so you can uncover the most potent version of yourself and create a thriving life you love. Hello, hello. Welcome back to the podcast.

I'm your host, Amy Sanders. And today I am coming to you with over 20 habits that have literally changed my life. Some of these are habits that I have been doing for years and years. Some of them have been more in the more frequent years, but all of them are ones that I have done that have truly changed my life and have helped bring me so much more joy and peace and all of the things because they're good habits.

And when you have good habits, your life runs smoother because your good habits support it. And the reason why I wanted to bring this podcast to you today is because over the course of the last month, I have struggled with multiple sicknesses. I don't know what's going on, but I have just picked up one thing to another thing. So I have been sick for a month.

One of them was a pretty bad cold. I don't know if it was COVID or not, never got tested, but then it turned into the flu. And from the flu, as soon as I started feeling like someone, what better, I literally got strep throat. So it's been a little rough, but as I have, and I'm still healing, by the way, I still do not feel close to a hundred percent, but as I have been doing this and going through this experience of being sick, I have felt emotionally much different than I have in years past.

And as I started to pick them apart, I think it's because even though I wasn't feeling well, the majority of all of these habits. I was still doing because they're a habit. It's just part of my day and I feel so much better when I do it. And so because of that, I've been able to emotionally handle being sick for so long, so much better.

And so when I was thinking about what I wanted to bring to podcast this week, this was top of mind. So here it is. So I'm going to go through the 20, actually like 22 is what I think there is. I'm just going to go down.

And with these habits. You might want to pick some of these up as I explain them. There might, they might be ones that you're already doing, or it could be ones that don't really resonate with you. That's fine.

But these are the ones that have truly helped my life. And so I hope that they are helpful to you. So number one is make your bed. So making my bed has served me because when I get out of my bed and I make it right away, first of all, I get in the energy of like owning my day.

I'm getting up. I'm going, things are happening. The bed is made and it helps you start your day on the right foot. Everything I say is maybe in the you language, but it's things that have really helped me.

And it also helps with clean energy, meaning that when you come back into your room and your bed is made, it just feels good. It's better energy than when things feel chaotic or messy. It helps build a good habit. So that's number one is make your bed.

Number two is an appreciation journal. So when you appreciate everything. That you have. And with this journal, I recommend doing whatever feels good to you, whether it's three things a day, five things a day, 10 things a day, or you just fill into it.

Like I'm just going to jot down whatever's on my mind. And you do this every single day in the morning. It sets you up in the right energy to attract even more to you throughout the day. And then also throughout your life.

So it's something that's a non-negotiable for me. I will always, no matter what, do my appreciation journal. So number three is give back to the community. And this looks different.

It can be multiple things. It might be that you give 10% of what you earn to your church or a charity at some point. It might be that you serve in some capacity in your church or in your community. For me, it's usually in the form of doing tithing to my church as well as I sing in the community choir.

Okay. And that has been something that's been fun. It feels like I'm giving back. And so giving back to the community also just feels good because you're getting outside of yourself.

Number four is read 10 pages of an inspirational book. This is something that I have done, gosh, pretty much my whole adult life. And it has served me so well. There are periods of times where I'm not as good, but technically I think it is a daily thing for me.

Sometimes I don't get in a full 10 pages, but I don't let that affect me. So when you are reading 10 pages of an inspiration book, inspirational book, your brain literally changes the way it fires and the way it thinks about life because you're putting good information into your brain and the way you read, like when you're looking at the book and you're reading those words as they are going into your brain for comprehension, there is just a skill there that is not the same as when you listen. So if you're listening to a book, of course, it's fine. Of course, it's fine.

But I recommend if you can to spend some time reading an inspirational book too, just because of what it can. Between your, your eyes and your brain. Number five is a morning practice. And the morning practice is going to look different for different people.

Mine consists of multiple things. And so I will go through what my morning practice is. If it sounds like too much, guess what? You don't have to adopt any of it, or you can adopt a piece of it, or you can do the whole thing.

But my morning practice does take me between one to two hours a morning and it is freaking amazing. So when I wake up, of course I make my bed. I've already said that, but I write into my appreciation journal. I write into my AAA tractor manifestation journal, which I'll talk to you about in a minute.

I work out, I meditate, and I read 10 pages of an inspirational book as well as something spiritual. That is my morning practice. I do it every single day and it really truly serves me well. It sets me up for success from the morning on.

And I feel differently every now and then. If I'm on a vacation or something and I don't get that in, my entire day feels so different. But when I commit to my morning practice, everything just seems to flow the rest of the day. I am a completely different person than if on the rare occasion I skip it.

Which leads me to number six. So workout. This can be anything. So for me, this is why this takes my morning practice one to two hours is because I also fit in my workout.

And depending on if I'm marathon training or weight training, it's going to be different amounts of time. So if I'm marathon training, it might be that I'm running an hour to two or three a day. It can be a long time depending on what kind of workout it is. But when you just choose something that works for you, whatever it is that lights up your soul when it comes to working out, just do that and stick with it.

Make sure you have some weight training going on. Make sure you get your heart pumping some. Just do something that feels good to you. It's going to be different.

It's going to be different per person because we are all different. Just commit to doing it all. Number seven is wake up and start the day. So just get up and start doing the things that get you going.

Which for me is my what I've just shared with you morning practice, as well as if the dishwasher needs to be started, if there's a load of laundry that needs to be done, I get those going right away first thing in the morning because when I do, it's like things are already happening. And then later I'm not behind on filming. I just have to switch it. So it just works out for me.

Just waking up and getting a good start to the day. Number eight is that AAA attractor that I told you about. And the AAA attractor manifestation journal is where you write down with an actual pen. You're physically writing this down, the things that you want to call in and you're talking in the present tense.

So it would be, I travel the world whenever I want. If that's something that you like, I am a patient, kind and loving mom who's present in my kids' lives. If that's what you're wanting to call in. I am in a multimillionaire.

If that's what you want to call it, it can be whatever, but it's in the present tense. And so what I do is I have nine to 10 items that I am putting out there. Like currently right now, one of mine is I am a bestselling author of my own book. So at the time of recording, I have coauthored a book.

I have not finished my own. So that is something that is on my manifestation journal that I am putting out there every single day. Another thing I do alongside this journal is I write a page long, of a manifestation type energy of what my day looks like living my dream life. And it's all in the present tense as if it's happening now.

And why I do this is because it shortens the period of time to where you can get it, which is why I call it my AAA attractor, the awareness, alignment, abundance. You're becoming an attractor for all of the things that you want in your life by doing this every single day. And as you do this from a place of love and openness, not from a place of lack, that's not there. It's like, you're just already, imagining yourself that this is happening.

So you are essentially doing a visualization while you do this. It's amazing. Okay. So number nine is get enough sleep.

So I always strive to get eight hours of sleep. And I've noticed that the older I get, the more sleep I actually need in order to keep your hormones running smoothly, your workout strong, all of the things in order to keep going, we do need to take some rest and we can do that through getting sleep. Always try to get eight hours of sleep, especially if you're getting, like older. I'm in my early forties.

I like to say early forties, but yeah, that has served me well. Number 10 is learning to say no. This has been something that has been more in the last more recent years because it's been a lifelong process for me. I was taught to never ask and also always say yes to everything.

And so learning to say no to the things that don't serve me has been something that has been an ongoing learning curve. But I have learned that if it's not something that I don't feel good about, and I say no, I feel so much better, which gives me more space and room for the things that I do want to do. It's not out of a place of being selfish. It's actually out of a place of respect, respect for you, respect for the person asking a place of being truly authentic to who you are and what you're capable of has nothing to do with not being nice.

That's how I used to see it is if I say no, that I'm not being nice. That's not what that means. It just means that you're respecting your boundaries and your time. There's nothing wrong with that.

So number 11 is more. I've been doing this now for the last couple of years, literally changed my life and it is planning my mills. And I am a big believer that you only have certain hours a day, right? And within that day, you make X number of decisions throughout the day, how to spend the day.

And so the more decisions you have to make the less brain space you have. And so what I have started doing a couple of years ago was I started planning my mills. And, and what that looks like is the beginning of the week. I actually have someone that sends me what I'm going to eat because that also means I don't even have to think about that.

And she sends me some balanced mills for the whole week. And I starting on Monday, eat the same thing, breakfast, lunch, dinner, all of my snacks. I eat the same thing for the next week. The following week, it gets flushed out and we do something new.

What this means is I know what I'm eating. I know that they're healthy. I didn't have to make the decision. It saves me a ton of time because they're easy to make.

And a lot of times I pre do stuff on Sunday nights or Monday mornings and it's just done. So my family eats what I eat. It literally is so amazing. I love it.

Number 12 is I plan my workouts at the beginning of the week. So at the beginning of the week, I also know what I'm going to be doing the whole rest of the week for my workouts. Again, this takes time and brain space. If you're trying to do it the morning, what am I working out?

What am I going to do? It's just capacity that you actually don't need to spend on this. And so when you do it ahead of time, you wake up, you know what you're doing. You can just dive right in.

It really saves time, brain space and feels good. Number 13 is pray. Do something to connect with God. When you let him in your life runs smoother.

So let him in, pray to him, whether it is once a day, multiple times a day, whatever that looks like for you, just let him into your life. Number 14 is God. I'm going to do a workout. Number 14 is go over your goals daily, weekly, and monthly.

For me, what this looks like is every month I have certain goals that I have within my business, also within my life, but mostly this happens with my business since I'm a business owner and I cut those into weekly and daily goals. So by the end of the month, it's a lot easier for me to hit them because they are top of mind with the way that I structure them. And so I really batch certain things and make sure that things are running smoothly and that I'm seeing them frequently. Because if you don't look at them, your goals frequently, they cannot be top of mind.

Now with looking at your goals, I also want to say that make sure you're looking at them from a place of abundance, not lack and that you're not frustrated yourself if they're not happening faster. Just trust that everything's working out and that everything's going to end up beautifully in the end. So number 15 I hit on, but this is, I literally start laundry and any kind of household thing in the morning because when I get those things going, like the dishwasher, or the laundry, it helps everything else run smoother. I feel like I've got a start on my day later.

I just switched the laundry. It's really easy sometime around lunch. And then by nighttime I have laundry that's done. It just needs to be folded.

And so that works really well for me as well. I'm number 16 is I take vitamins and minerals every single day. This helps keep my body and tip top shape helps me feeling better, which leads to 17 is drink 80 ounces of water every single day. So if I know that I stay hydrated and I have my vitamins, my body is going to feel better, which means that I'm going to be able to output more and it's going to, it's going to feel good.

So that is another thing that I do every single day is make sure that I'm drinking plenty of water. If you're drinking a lot of other things, make sure that they're not dehydrating you. If so, you might have to increase your water intake by more than that. So number 18 is meditation.

I use a meditation app. Meditation can look different. Different for different people. And sometimes it's great to do your own meditation where it's not guided.

Other times it's nice to have a guided meditation. So you choose your poison. But what I usually do is I have an app that's called insight timer. It is amazing.

It's gosh, the black hole of everything meditation. You can literally choose anything on that app from breathing to guided meditations to just music to gosh, like it's tons of different types of courses. There's so much that you can do. It's like a meditation app.

And I truly love it. So every single day, five to 10 minutes in the morning, I pick a meditation that sounds good to me. And if it's something that I just need to do for myself, then I do my own meditation. Again, I leave it open to how I feel that morning.

19 is get outside and go on a walk. I always try to get outside and get some fresh air. It helps reset my system. Sometimes it's cold, right?

I live in Utah. Sometimes it's cold. Put on a coat, but get outside even if it's for a few minutes. But it really helps.

It helps again, me stay in the energy of creativity and vibing high. So I'd recommend that. Number 20 is I check in frequently with my vibration, meaning that I check in with how am I feeling? Am I excited about what I'm creating?

Am I feeling like I am getting drugged down? Like, where am I at on the vibration scale? If I were to rate it, where am I? Because the higher that we can stay, the more we're going to attract all the good things into our lives.

So checking in frequently throughout the day keeps me, me and a better vibrational state. And the bonus one, 21 is another one that I love. I have my groceries delivered. It's very rare that I go to the grocery store.

And by having them delivered means that I'm saving a lot of time. So when I'm doing my meal planning, I just add them all into my online grocery store car and then they get delivered to my house. It is the most amazing thing. And usually I have a grocery store that I frequently go to that I have them delivered to.

And then I also have, Costco. I usually have one of both or both of them. I have them delivered to my house. And again, it's another thing that I don't have to do.

And by doing that, it keeps me in the energy of allowing other things to take up my space instead of the groceries. So do I sometimes go to the grocery store? Yeah, but it's not very often anymore. And it feels amazing.

And when I do go to the grocery store, it's usually the times where I'm like going with my kids or going with my husband, eat a couple extra things. But it also is like, I'm spending time with these people. So those are the things. Let me go through them one more time.

Number one, make your bed. Number two, appreciation journal. Number three, give back to the community. Four, read 10 pages of an inspirational book.

Five, morning practice. Six, workout. Seven, wake up and start the day. Eight, a manifestation journal.

I call it AAA tractor. Nine, get enough sleep. 10, learn to say no. 11, plan.

Your meals. 12, plan your workouts at the beginning of the week. 13, pray or do something to connect with God. 14, go over your goals monthly, weekly, and daily.

15, start the laundry in the morning. 16, take vitamins. 17, drink at least 80 ounces of water every day. 18, meditation.

19, get outside and go on a walk. 20, check in frequently with your vibration. And 21, have groceries delivered. Those are 20 things that I came up with that really helped me vibing high.
